Players take on the role of an apocalyptic survivor and attempt to complete a mission and escape the hostile post-apocalyptic landscape by utilizing their 4 actions to move scavenge and fight their way through enemies.
The legendary edition contains the core game the Gothic Horrors expansion Kaiju Rising and the Jurassic Perils expansion. It also introduces miniatures in an epic box with a custom made storage solution.

Gothic Horrors is a deluxe expansion for Maximum Apocalypse.The supernatural is real. Unspeakable horrors await those who venture out at night. Vampires drain the life of their victims while cultists summon strange creatures. We’re hoping that we can scrounge together enough supplies to survive without our minds snapping but it is a heavy burden to bear.Maximum Apocalypse: Gothic Horrors adds three new apocalyptic scenarios Cthulhu Vampires and the Yokai. Face off against life draining vampires ghouls and werewolves in a classic monster set or try and stop a bunch of cultists from summoning Cthulu or other unspeakable Lovecraftian horrors. Each apocalypse brings with it new gameplay mechanics such as the Insanity deck of phobias or the new night/day event deck. This expansion also adds two new survivor characters the Priest and Ronin. Each character comes with their own unique survivor deck of abilities and equipment cards. The Priest is a persistent believer in humanity who offers protection from unspeakable evils.
