The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game is een coöperatieve kaartspel dat 1-2 spelers (of maximaal vier met twee Core Sets!) in de controle zet van de meest krachtige personages en artefacten van Midden-aarde. Spelers selecteren helden, verzamelen bondgenoten, verwerven artefacten, en coördineren hun inspanningen om de gevaarlijkste vijanden van Midden-aarde te verslaan. Door samen te werken om obstakels uit de Encounter deck te overwinnen, zul je de quest voltooien en de overwinning claimen!Deze Core set bevat 226 kaarten die gebruikt kunnen worden om veel verschillende decks te bouwen. Inbegrepen zijn drie gevaarlijke quests die, door verschillende combinaties van kaarten oneindig te spelen is.Maandelijks zullen er Adventure Packs verschijnen die nieuwe quests, heroes, allies, attachments, events, and encounters bevat zodat het spel blijft vernieuwen en voor nog meer uitdaging zorgt!
